Jean
Michel KARAM
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Prior to founding MEMSCAP, Dr. Karam served at French research institute TIMA Laboratories in Grenoble, where he started and built the Microsystems Group to 35 engineers. During that time he was consultant to a variety of international technology companies on MEMS projects. Additionally, Dr. Karam launched and managed the MEMS and the Multi-Chip-Modules manufacturing programs of CMP, a foundry service similar to MOSIS. Dr. Karam received a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in 1996, and additional EE degrees from University of Paris VII and the Ecole Superieure d'Ingenieurs en Electrotechnique et Electronique (Paris). He created MEMSCAP in 1997 and became chief executive officer in 1998. He is the co-founder of many high-technology companies, and is a consultant to several companies and investors. |

Bernard
COURTOIS
Independent Board Member Research Director for French CNRS, Director of TIMA, the combined research entity of CNRS associated to INPG and UJF, and Director of CMP services that is servicing Universities and Companies from about 60 countries for ICs/MEMS prototyping and small volume production, Bernard Courtois is a reference in applied technology for MEMS. With over 30 years experience in various fields linked to microelectronics and MEMS, he chairs various international conferences and workshops. He is a IEEE Computer Society’s Golden Core member and he is Doctor Honoris Causa of the Technical University of Budapest and board member of iROC Technologies (France), and NanoSprint (France). |

Independent Board Member Norwegian, with 25 years of experience in MEMS, Sverre Horntvedt is the founder of SensoNor of which he was the Chairman and CEO, then Executive Vice-Président for 15 years and Chief Scientific Officer since SensoNor acquisition by Infineon. SensoNor-Infineon is today the premier provider of pressure sensors for the automotive industry. Mr. Horntvedt is a board member of Virtek communication AS, Micro Tech Innovation AS, and Jacobsen Elektro AS. |

Independent Board Member British, former Operations and Business Financing Vice-President Euorpe of Digital Corporation, then Chief Financial Officer of ETF Investment N.V for which he was permanent representative to MEMSCAP Board of Directors until June 27, 2005, Christopher Pelly became an independent board member in 2005. M.Pelly is not a board member of any other French company. Il was permanent representative of ETF to the boards of directors of Itim Group Ltd (UK) , and was board member of E-Work Exchange Inc (USA), ETF Group (Switzerland), Buildonline (Holdings) ltd (Ireland), eGovernment Solutions ltd (UK),and eGovernment Solutions ltd (UK). |
